We are delighted to share the wonderful news that the book “Geoinformation. Law and Practice” has just been released. This book is an attempt to examine extremely important and also very current issues of the use of geospatial information. This study, published under the editorship of Dr. Marlena Jankowska and Dr. Mirosław Pawełczyk from the University of Silesia in Katowice, was being made possible thanks to the collaboration of scientists from the University of Canberra, Tbilisi State University, Wageningen University, University of Osnabrück, Jagiellonian University and University of Nebraska – Lincoln and practitioners working with Kaufmann Consulting. The editors’ intention was to outline the scope of what is about to shape the legal framework of GIS as well as to draw attention to ongoing work on the legal issues in this area. An international group of authors contributed immensely to achieve this result, for which the editors share theirs words of gratitude. The publication is released in English.
